Pastor: Rev. Christopher Caton
Pastor Chris Caton has faithfully served the Lord in ministry since 1995. On the very same day that he received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, he was filled with the Holy Spirit, set free from a life of depression, and immediately began helping out an evangelistic ministry on a regular basis. He has been happy to serve God ever since.
Prior to starting Word of Life Family Church, Pastor Chris served on staff at a church in western Connecticut for 16 years, initially working with the youth and as an administrator, and later becoming an Associate Pastor. He is a 1991 graduate of Rhema Bible Training College in Broken Arrow, OK, and is licensed and ordained through Rhema Ministerial Association International (RMAI).
Experienced with both the natural and spiritual sides of ministry, Pastor Chris is equipping believers to reign in life and fulfill God’s plan. “We’re here to encourage you that you can do this – succeed at living this life of faith!”
Worship/Children's Director: Christen Caton
Christen has served alongside her husband Chris as his full partner in life and ministry for the past 24 years and considers being a godly wife and mother her highest calling.
Raised in a strong Christian home, she recognized the call of God on her life as a teen and realized that her gifts as a musician and singer were to glorify Him. It is her great joy to lead people into deeper places in God through worship where His presence and power are experienced. Christen is a 1991 graduate of Rhema Bible Training College.
In addition, Christen oversees our children’s ministry and leads LIFE Ladies--our monthly women’s Bible study and fellowship.
Student Ministries: Lindsey Caton and Harrison Caton
Lindsey and Harrison are the two oldest children of Pastor Chris and Christen. Their walk with God and service to His people are a great example for Christian young people. They both serve on the worship team and generally are a help wherever needed. Lindsey and Harrison teach the student class for middle school and high school. Their style is friendly, practical, and relational. Lindsey is graduating in 2017 from Thomas Edison State University with a degree in music and is a private violin instructor. Harrison is currently pursuing a degree in information technology, and will be graduating from Thomas Edison State University in 2017.
Word of Life Family Church is an independent nondenominational church, but is accountable to its licensing organization Rhema Ministerial Association International in Broken Arrow, OK, and is additionally accountable to its board members Rev. Douglas Mitchell of Westchester Family Church in Mt. Kisco, NY, and Rev. James Lillis of Faith Bible Church in Wallingford, CT.
