What to Expect

Dress:
From dressy casual to jeans, come as you are.

Music: Our service begins with about 30 minutes of live, heartfelt, contemporary worship where we can join in magnifying Jesus and experience God’s joy, peace and presence. We enjoy singing not only the beautiful worship songs of today, but also hymns of the past with an updated feel. Although you’ll hear several styles of music, played with keyboard, guitar, violin, and drums, it’s not so much the music that’s important but the heart expressing itself to God. We strive to worship God in spirit and in truth, and many will lift their hands or clap or sometimes even jump and dance. We are very careful to make sure that the songs we sing are biblically correct and help usher in the presence of God and serve to make us more aware of His goodness and truth.

Teaching: Our Pastor seeks to teach the Bible without compromise and in the power of the Holy Spirit. Even if you know nothing about the Bible, or if you’ve been a Christian for decades, you’ll be inspired and challenged as you hear the Word taught in a way that you can understand and apply to everyday situations. The anointed teaching will help you reign in life and grow in your walk with the Lord and with others. You’ll see that God has a plan for your life, and that He has given you the ability to fulfill it through Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer:  The Lord wants His people whole, well, and victorious. Individuals needing prayer may be ministered to at the end of the service, and sometimes during the service if the Lord directs. In addition to weekly prayer groups, we are always happy to help individuals pray for particular needs.

Communion:  At least once a month, we partake of the Lord’s Supper “in remembrance” of Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice for us through His death on the cross, celebrating the forgiveness and healing that it brings us when received in faith.

The Holy Spirit:  We welcome the moving of the Spirit in the service.

Children:  We have age-appropriate classes for Kids, Nursery, and Students. Upon arrival, one of our friendly ushers may ask you to fill out a Child Registration Card if you wish your children to participate. Once the worship portion of the service is complete, the children are dismissed to their respective classes.

Fellowship: After service, we invite you to have a cup of coffee with us down the hall in the fellowship room. Our church community is warm and friendly, and we come from several different towns in the Greater Middlebury/Waterbury area. We would love to get to meet you!

Service Length: About an hour and a half.

Sharing Space: We are thankful to share space currently with St. George’s Episcopal Church and have full use of their beautiful sanctuary and facility. As our service is beginning, their fellowship time down the hall is just wrapping up. You may see a few members of St. George’s who are leaving as you are coming in.
