SPECIAL GUEST – Pastor Brandon Whitfield

April 14 @ 11:15 am

Join us for this special service! At the young age of 16, Pastor Brandon Whitfield began preaching the gospel with his first sermon, “Walk in Your Authority,” delivered to a small church in Hamlet, NC. The impact was immediate as many teenagers came to Christ and signs, miracles, and wonders were present. Since then, Pastor Whitfield has become a sought-after keynote speaker at various revivals and conferences.

With a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from UNC and currently pursuing a Master’s in Theology at The Pentecostal Theological Seminary, Pastor Whitfield is an accomplished individual. He is the founder and lead pastor of The River Church of God, located in Danbury, CT. Together with 1st Lady Cornieta Whitfield and four other families, the church was launched in spring of 2018, drawing over 300 attendees in its first service.

Pastor Whitfield’s vision of creating a multicultural, multigenerational church in the heart of Danbury has been realized with the church welcoming over ten nationalities each week to their worship services. In addition to worship services, The River Church leads many community programs, including The Bridge Mentorship, which provides mentors to at-risk youth, and The River Church Summer Camp, which offers affordable childcare, learning, and meals to inner-city youth during summer months.

Pastor Whitfield is a Co-founder of Whitfield Institute LLC and Co-author of the popular book “Interruption,” which has a foreword by Cora Jakes, Bishop TD Jakes’ daughter. He proudly serves as the youngest Church of God Pastor in Southern New England and cherishes his roles as husband to Cornieta Whitfield and father to 4-year-old Carter Whitfield and 2-year-old Aliesha Whitfield. Pastor Whitfield’s itinerary ministry is grounded in 2 Timothy 4:2, which says, “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
